Avalon Assisted Living at Hillsborough provides assisted living, memory care and respite care (short-term stays). It is the latest community in the Bridgeway family of companies and is located on the same campus as its sister community the Bridgeway Care and Rehabilitation Center at Hillsborough.

The Avalon’s award-winning, assisted lifestyle combines the warmth of a family atmosphere with the personalized support for daily activities, security and services residents need to live happy, safe and independent lives, while offering comfort and peace of mind in knowing that skilled nursing, on-site rehabilitation through Bridgeway Care at Home in-home therapy, long-term care, and on-site physician services are available within our continuum of care. Licensed nurses are on the premises 24 hours a day, and nurses pass all medications (not Certified Medication Aides).

Memory Care that Focuses on the Whole Person

The Generations Village, available at Avalon Bridgewater and Avalon Hillsborough, offers memory care services in a safe and secure environment for those with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and other memory impairments. Our staff, specially trained in Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, strives every day to meet the needs of each resident by providing compassionate, attentive care, personalized programming and services to create a haven of dignity and support focused on caring for the whole person.

The new addition at The Avalon Assisted Living at Hillsborough was thoughtfully designed with luxurious one- and two-bedroom apartments, an outdoor terrace, private dining room and lounge as well as spacious sitting areas, bistro, and a large state-of-the art therapy gym – all beautifully appointed.

Memory Care at the community has doubled its capacity with an entire floor devoted to our Generations Village. Enhanced safety, training and amenities create a haven of dignity and support focused on caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia and other memory impairments.

Social Activities to Engage You

At Avalon at Hillsborough, we believe in the health benefits of being social. You can count on our family to engage yours in the best senior living social events. Every month, our engaging and friendly Activities Director plans a top-notch calendar packed with activities from Wii bowling to movie night, exercise class, bingo, trivia circle, sip and paint, pet visits, word games, and bus trips to name just a few of the many creative pursuits. Residents are encouraged to follow their personal interests and develop new ones. There’s sure to be something to interest everyone!

Love parties and celebrations? Our Activities Director knows how to throw a great party for occasions like Mardi Gras and the Super Bowl.
