Bridgeway Senior Healthcare Launches Innovative Holistic Wellness Program

Bridgeway Senior Healthcare is proud to announce the launch of its new, Innovative Wellness Program, a initiative designed to support physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual well being through evidence-based, whole-person care. The program integrates sound therapy, chair yoga, breathwork, aromatherapy, and a sound meditation library, reinforcing Bridgeway’s commitment to compassionate, forward-thinking senior care.

Rooted in both modern research and ancient healing practices, the program is available to residents, families, staff, and community members, creating a shared culture of wellness and connection.

Healing Through Sound, Chair Yoga, Breathwork, and Aroma Therapy

At the heart of the program is Bridgeway’s Sound Meditation Library, featuring professionally recorded sessions with authentic singing bowls, guided breathing, and calming soundscapes designed to support stress relief, memory care, improved sleep, and deep relaxation.

“Sound meditation is gentle, accessible, and deeply comforting,” said Christina Flanagan Bistis, Wellness and Community Outreach Coordinator at Bridgeway Senior Healthcare. “It offers moments of peace, connection, and clarity, especially during the more challenging seasons of life.”

The program is complemented by gentle chair yoga and breathwork, designed for seated practice and adaptable to all mobility levels, supporting circulation, flexibility, balance, and relaxation. Aromatherapy is thoughtfully incorporated using essential oils selected to enhance relaxation, mood support, and cognitive engagement.

Community Wellness and Education

Bridgeway is extending its wellness mission beyond its walls through community sound healing workshops, group meditation sessions, and family caregiver support resources. These offerings invite community members to learn about therapeutic sound practices and connect with others on similar wellness journeys. In addition, it has launched a new wellness newsletter, “Bridges to Wellness,” offering the community, residents, families, and staff inspiration, practical wellness tips, and helpful insights to support a healthier, more fulfilling life.
